Why I teach: I want others to experience inner space and how peaceful it is. Not to mention see all the inhabitants of inner space. I want to teach and interact with people.

Why Join Coral Key Scuba: It all started with a brief encounter with “Sparkles” (Britney C.) at Blue Hole New Mexico. There were a few other instructors from Coral Key. I observed how they interacted and joked around with one another, and with the students. Something I didn’t witness with other shops. I thought to myself. “Coral Key is where I want to be”. After observing and testing my skills, Coral Key brought me aboard. Coral Key is my other family. That’s the atmosphere at C.K.

Favorite Dive location: It doesn’t really matter to me. Just as long as I can get in the water and blow bubbles.

Bucket list Location: Cozumel, Virgin Islands

Day job: Retired. Hmmm, more teaching scuba please!

BIO: I’m a Florida boy born and raised. Having a passion for the water, It made sense to me to do a job that involved scuba diving. I got my chance in the Marines, due to the job I held. After getting out in 1994, I tried commercial diving in my home town of Jacksonville. After that I went back to work for the U.S. Gov’t. Joined the Army in 2006, a couple of tours in Iraq and retired in 2015. Diving was still in my blood so I became Dive Master and Assistant Instructor certified in 2018. Hopefully will finish Instructor training in 2019.
