The house reef, situated directly off the resort, is a wonderful and mostly untouched reef of over 800 meters. The coral diversity varies from soft corals, black corals, table corals and gorgonians up to 2 meters in diameter. The corals shelter a fantastic underwater world with many schools of fish (including juvenile barracudas, snappers), reef sharks, sea horses, harlequin shrimps and other critters. With a bit of luck, you can also see dolphins, pilot whales and ocean sunfish passing by.

On the northeast coast of Bali, sits a small fishing village called Tulamben. It is here where divers congregate to visit one of the world’s most popular dive sites. The USS Liberty shipwreck, a US Army Transport ship. Known as the most popular wreck in the world the Liberty wreck is only a 15-minute boat ride from our resort. Google it, it is fascinating, and I am excited to dive it. Also, in Tulamben, are quite famous dive sites Ulami, Drop off, and Coral Garden. I have been told not to miss those. So, we’ll dive em.

The underwater world in Bali offers a great variety of species. Located in the southwestern part of the coral triangle, the richness of the coral reefs is unique. More than 3,500 animal species have been discovered here. The Indonesian current is in charge of transporting plankton to the reefs around Bali. This very important current transports the water from the Pacific Ocean, via Java and Banda Sea, to the Indian Ocean. This optimal geographic situation guarantees the great diversity of fish, coral, and critters, including nudibranchs, rhinopias, ghost pipe fish, cowries, boxer crabs, mimic octopus, wonderpus and many more.

It ranks among the top diving destinations in the world and is known for its rich macro life and is mostly characterized by wall dives rich in hard and soft corals. Pelagics such as reef sharks (black tip, white tip), eagle rays, barracudas, tuna, napoleon wrasses and turtles are also a common sight. There are over 75 dive sites within easy reach of the Resort.

TREKKING TOURS (2 – 4 persons)
› Lempuyang Sunrise: Climb 1,750 steps to reach Lempuyang at sunrise – one of Bali's loveliest and oldest temples (start out at 5 a.m.).
› Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking (1,717m): The ascent to this volcanic crater takes 2 to 4 hours – start out at 2 a.m.
› Mount Agung Sunrise Trekking (3,142m): The long route from Besakih takes about 14 hours; the short version is a mere(!) 8 hours (from Pura Agung, 1,500 m).
RIVERRAFTING
› "Telaga Waja" wildwater rafting: Two and a half hours of pure fun amid stunning scenery! Can be combined with a visit to the Besakih temple or Tirtagangga/silversmith.
