Let's Talk About Seaspiracy

Arguably one of the most contentious documentary films of the year, Seaspiracy is a film directed and narrated by Ali Tabrizi and produced by Kip Anderson (Cowspiracy, What The Health). The film exposes its audience to a myriad of perils the high seas face, from plastic pollution, overfishing, shark finning, piracy, slavery, unethical slaughter, fish farming practices and more. It seems to go a mile wide and an inch deep, simply glossing over these subjects without exploring them in depth. Some have viewed this as a criticism, while others said it was the right move. The film hit top 10 on Netflix in over 30 countries just after a week of its release, so its audience was enormous. As such, the Kip has stated that his tactic was to expose as much atrocities of the oceans in as timely a manner as possible to convey to the viewer the multitude of issues our seas face.
