Why I joined Coral Key Scuba: Years before finding Coral Key, other divers had encouraged me to start teaching. I’ve always enjoyed sharing what I know and helping others become better divers, but through college becoming a Divemaster or Instructor remained a “maybe one day” idea.

After moving to Denver, I wanted to go on a dive trip but didn't know any other local divers and Coral Key happened to be the closest shop to my house. I came in, signed up for a Cozumel trip, and quickly found the group was incredibly close-knit, and I immediately felt like part of the family. Watching Eric work to give everyone on that trip the best possible experience finally pushed me to commit to earning my DM and join Coral Key's teaching staff to help new divers enter the sport and experienced divers continue building their skills and knowledge.

Favorite Dive location: Chuuk Lagoon

Bucket list Location: Bikini Atoll's Nuclear Test Fleet

Bio: I am drawn to the technical side of diving, particularly wreck exploration, rebreathers, and dive science. I enjoy understanding the physiology, decompression theory, equipment, and planning that make more complex diving possible. My diving has taken me through a wide range of environments from Mexico's warm reefs and our own Coral Sea to deep trimix CCR dives in Florida’s cave country, the Great Lakes, and the wrecks of Chuuk Lagoon.

For me, one of the best parts of diving is that there is always something new to learn, refine, or explore. I enjoy sharing that curiosity with divers at every experience level and hope to eventually continue teaching as a technical diving instructor.
