Cenote Trip

You know what? We have done 2 of these trips in the past couple of years. I wish you could speak to the guests that went because most would say they were nervous before they went but it turned out to be one of their favorite adventures in their life. I can’t convey here the thrill and fulfillment of a new type of diving. How can I share with you the dynamics of this trip? Best just to come see for yourself. I invite you to come for a visit if you are interested. I will answer any questions and show you video of our previous trips. And I am sure I can refer you to a few of the guests that went.

Is there training available? Absolutely! May I say that is is very safe, professional guides offer us training. 1 guide per 3 divers. You will feel confident in the water. Our group leader is the world-renowned Cave explorer, Julia Gugelmeier. Bad Ass diver and in the top 5 cave explorers. But a total sweet heart. You will love her.

Do you have to have perfect buoyancy? No. Buoyancy control is important, but perfection isn’t expected. You can take a buoyancy course prior and we can work on it more there.

Do you have to be Advanced Diver certified? No. But the itinerary does change a bit on some of the more adventurous dives. You won’t miss any dives but we might exchange a few for the more advanced dives. All are spectacular and truly a wonder.

Are the Cenotes deep? The average depth is around 25-35 ft. There are two dives that you can dive 90-100 ft. Those require the Advanced certification. If you don’t have it they will be exchanged by other locations not deep. You will not miss a dive.

Which cenotes will we dive? The itinerary changes depending upon the weather, water conditions, and skill level. We will dive some famous ones like Angelita (The underwater river as seen on National Geographic) Dos Ojos, and a few others.

What if I’m nervous? Abundant Tequila. Seriously though, every diver was a little nervous in the beginning. Heck its a new thing for most divers. But we have you! After their first couple they weren’t nervous anymore. I guess at some point you have to trust me, if you have traveled with me before you already know. I am confident I can give you a safe thrilling adventure. Then you can hug me afterward.

More Information: You can expect a relaxed week filled with different types of cenote diving, historical excursions to Mayan ruins and we all go to dinner with each other every night. Our last two trips were so successful we are doing it again in 2027.

We had never seen anybody offer a whole trip just for Cenote diving. So, we did it and it was so popular we are going to do it again.

We will dive a couple days then take a break and go exploring. Then come back to dive some more. We will tour world Heritage site Mayan ruins. Your free time can be immersed into the cultural and historical city of Tulum, where we will be staying. A free day to explore additional ruins or take a day to relax on the beach.
