I became involved with diving in 1983, when I took a chance and signed up for a PADI Open Water Diver course through a local community college.  I quickly progressed through the ranks, attaining my Assistant Instructor rating in 1998.  I spend all of my time diving in high altitude, cold, lakes and reservoirs.  Then life took a turn.  I finished up my Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine, and went on to become a paramedic and worked for ground and air transport services beginning in 1989.  I have branched out since working in the field and am currently in charge of paramedic and EMT education and outreach for one of Colorado’s large healthcare systems.  I did very little diving until the summer of 2016, when I decided to get back into it and start to experience the warm water side of the diving world.  I replaced all of my old equipment, and got back into the teaching side of things.  I upgraded to Open Water Instructor in January of 2017, and qualified for my Master Scuba Diver Trainer in the summer of 2017.  I currently teach Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue diver, Divemaster, and the following specialties:  Project Aware, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Coral Reef Conservation, Dive Propulsion Vehicle, Dry Suit, Enriched Air, Underwater Navigation, Search and Recovery, Full Face Mask, Boat Diving, Deep Diving, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Night, Wreck, Altitude, and Fish Identification.

I’m looking forward to diving with you for your next class or specialty.  Scott
